Charging systems have to withstand the stresses of delivering high levels of energy, in a short period of time. And increasingly, they must withstand the rigors of everyday use – exposure to the elements, vandalism and the occasional bump from a car.
Housings, connectors and wireless charger pads need to be tough enough to withstand almost anything, and provide protection from the power within. We offer several outstanding materials for these demanding requirements. Elastopor® polyurethane foam provides both strength and durability to housing components. Ultramid® polyamide thermoplastics can be used in place of steel and aluminum structures: enhancing toughness, providing electrical insulation and allowing greater design freedom.
Cables have to last. Ultramid® high-strength, high-temperature-resistant plastics and Elastollan® thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) offer outstanding abrasion resistance coupled with flexibility, strength and chemical resistance to help extend the life of charging cables. Palatinol ® plasticizers are well suited for demanding wire and cable applications.
Wherever gaskets are required Elastofoam® and Elastollan® polyurethanes provide durable, resilient solutions.
